Slimepedia

The Slimepedia is your living encyclopedia of every slime species you have encountered. Each entry contains the slime’s type, elemental affinity, base stats, habitat, capture difficulty, and synthesis possibilities. As you bond with slimes and experiment with synthesis, the Slimepedia fills in — it is the single most important tracking tool in the game. Completionists consider a full Slimepedia the ultimate endgame goal.

Slime Rarity Tiers

Slimes in World of Slime are classified across five rarity bands: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Rarity does not automatically determine combat viability — some Uncommon species have niche roles that outperform Rare picks in specific team compositions. Rarity primarily affects how difficult a slime is to encounter and capture, with Legendary slimes requiring specific spawn conditions such as time of day, weather, or NPC bond thresholds. The Tier List ranks species by effectiveness rather than rarity, which is why you should always check both before investing resources.

Checking Your Slimepedia Completion

From the Slimepedia menu, a completion percentage is visible at the top of the screen, calculated against the total species you have encountered. This percentage is based on species rather than individual captures — one specimen of each species is sufficient to count as discovered. In the demo, filling the Slimepedia completely takes most players 8-12 hours of intentional play. The full game’s 100-plus species make this a months-long pursuit for dedicated collectors.

Why Collecting Matters

Every slime you capture contributes to your Slimepedia, and a well-filled Slimepedia is more than a trophy — it is a strategic resource. Understanding which species you have and have not encountered tells you where to focus your exploration. Synthesis discoveries are logged separately, meaning your collection directly informs which combinations you have yet to try. A high completion percentage also unlocks achievements and, according to TEAM42, certain late-game NPC reactions that reference your dedication as a collector.

Tier List

The Tier List ranks every slime species by overall effectiveness in PvP, PvE, and synthesis utility. Tiers are based on current demo data and will be updated when the full game launches. A high-tier slime is not automatically the best choice for your team — your specific playstyle, party composition, and synthesis goals all factor in. Use the tier list as a guide, not a prescription.
